About Sheepadoodles
Sheepadoodles are a cross between an Old English Sheepdog (OES) and a Poodle. OES are considered low shedding dogs, only shedding when brushed therefore when bred with a Poodle you get a hybrid breed that is highly likely to produce a dog that is hypoallergenic friendly. We think it is very important to produce healthy puppies that grow into beloved and cherished family members so ALL of our parents are genetic tested (through Embark) and chosen to breed based on temperaments, health, and personality. Sheepadoodles are intelligent, funny, playful, loving, social, obedient, and easy to train. They need a moderate-high amount of exercise and grooming (needing to be brushed 2-3x a week and groomed every 1-3 months depending on your coat preference). With OES herding instincts and Poodles intelligence, they are very good with children, other animals and can be trained to be therapy dogs and many have been known to love the water. Their average life span is 12-15 years. Below helps explain the generations of the Sheepadoodle.

F1 - Is 50% Poodle and 50% OES (from a pure breed Poodle and OES)
F1B- Is 75% Poodle and 25% OES (from an F1 Sheepadoodle and Poodle)
F2- Is 50% Poodle and 50% OES (from two-hybrid Sheepadoodles)
F2B- Is 37.5% OES and 62.5% Poodle (from a F1B and F1)
F3 and forward is called a Multi-Gen

To help you understand “Why all the different types”… As you move down the list from F1 thru F2B and all the way to Multigen responsible breeders are working to pull the best of the best out of the Sheepadoodle- giving people different options in coat types (example more poodle= more curls), color options as the F1 typically produces the classic black and white but as you progress toward a Multi-Gen you can get some amazing colors in a Sheepadoodle and a variety of sizes. All Sheepaoodles are amazing so don’t let the F123BB throw you through any loops!
